Trump’s Executive Order 14151, and the Supreme Courts ruling on Affirmative Action took away 70% of our addressable market so we simply have to adapt. 

The beauty of any SME business, our strength, is our agility and ability to react to changes in the market or buyer appetite. At Kaleida we are no different. We simply must adapt or eventually we’ll have to close. 

Now, on a personal level I too have kids to feed, university fees to cover, and weddings to pay for so my business is more than just my passion, it’s my life; literally. 

For a moment I thought we would need to close down. Shut up shop. But having sat with this for months I now see it clearly. I see the full picture. I now see my whole purpose come full circle.

For us Supplier Diversity was always about creating access to commercial opportunities, and this remains at our core. So, given the change in the DEI market, we are ahead of the curve by confronting this now and making it possible for Kaleida to become the procurement marketplace of choice for SMEs, Diverse Suppliers, and UK/European Corporates still committed to social value. 

We’ll continue to empower high‑performing diverse suppliers to connect to corporate buyers through Private Sector tenders, but now also enable their SME peer's businesses to transact B2B too through our inclusive marketplace, and the new post type: One-off Purchase.

So, our commitment is as strong as ever, and our resilience as robust as possible.

Founded in 2019, Kaleida International is a B2B marketplace for Tenders connecting Buyers to Suppliers, and Diverse Suppliers. With a focus on helping the Chief Procurement Office achieve its ESG goals, and alerting companies to new revenue opportunities, Kaleida's fully-inclusive platform helps Buyers find, identify and assess Diverse Suppliers they can invite to Tender.

In 2025 Kaleida will publish £800b in both Public and Private sector tenders as well as SME one-off purchases for suppliers, and Diverse suppliers to apply to. By increasing access to commercial opportunity, we believe we can drive equality through providing access to economic parity.
