Buyer Supplier relationships in a lockdown

Yesterday’s PM Commons statement on coronavirus will further dent Buyer/Supplier relationships as all conferences and trade shows were cancelled for 2020.

🧐 What approach are you taking to secure, influence and ring-fence your relationships with your Buyer/Supplier?

It is important now more than ever that Buyers pick up the phone, reach out to their Suppliers and discuss contract renewals, innovations and strategic objectives for 2021 and 2022.

Last week I presented to CIPS on this very topic: ‘Procurement with no trade shows’, after 3916 trade shows were cancelled in 2020 as at 28th Aug.

One can can presume that there will be little to no trade shows held until perhaps as far as Q1/2022.

In Kaleida, the B2B marketplace for tenders, we have created a platform to enhance the digital relationship between buyers and suppliers, without the noise of social media.

I invite you to visit www.kaleida.co and effectively communicate with your respective Buyer/Supplier communities.

🎤 PM’s announcement 22nd September 2020:

“Finally, we have to acknowledge that the spread of the virus is now affecting our ability to reopen business conferences, exhibitions and large sporting events so we will not be able to do this from 1 October.”

Be safe.
